In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of cartography, from basic map design to advanced techniques and web mapping.

The course begins with an introduction to cartography, where students will learn the basics of data visualization and layout design. The course then proceeds by focusing on specific aspects of cartography, from vector and raster symbology to labeling, charts, and map series. Each topic area reinforces the content learned in previous topics and includes both live instruction and a hands-on cartography project in ArcGIS Pro.

Through an understanding of cartography design principles, students of this course will have developed the skills they need to efficiently implement what they have learned in cartography projects using ArcGIS Pro.
